Who we are

Purpose

The International Poultry Council (IPC) was formed to bring together poultry industry leaders from around the world to address issues of trade, science, and improved relations among nations.

Mission and Objectives

Flash and PowerPoint presentation available -- see below  ArchiveEnlarge To strengthen communication between countries, develop and implement policy for international organizations affecting the world’s poultry industry, and to promote a common understanding of and confidence in poultry products in the world.

Involvement & Recognition

IPC will be the poultry association recognized by the international organizations that have a direct impact on the poultry industry worldwide.

These include:

  1. FAO (UN’s Food & Agriculture Organization)
  2. OIE (World Organization for Animal Health)
  3. Codex (UN’s Codex Alimentarius protecting the health and economic interests of consumers).
IPC has provided its Memorandums of Understanding and is actively providing direction for policy within international organizations.

Who’s Involved

The IPC is among the fastest growing, newly developed organizations comprised of the leading poultry producing countries around the world. Since its development in Cologne, Germany on 7 October 2005, the founding charter members are:
